I currently work as a Machine Learning Reserach Scientists at the British Antarctic Survey. My research focuses on the automation of benthic imagery analysis. I am employed on a contracted basis until June 2026.
For six months from September 2021 – March 2022 I interned with Levi Strauss & Co. as a Data Scientist, working on fine-grain computer vision.
My work focused on the development of a body shape classification system for fit recommendation. This is achieved through a pipeline of models for human instance segmentation and keypoint estimation.
Further details can be found in this preprint.
Alongside my PhD I was employed as a Teaching Assistant at Newcastle University.
For this I aided in the teaching of Undergraduate and Postgraduate modules in the School of Computing focusing on Python, Java, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning modules.
I also supervised multiple Undergraduate and Postgraduate dissertations in the areas of fine-grained image classification, Siamese Neural Networks, and GANs. Students I have supervised have gone on to publish their works.
